Skoolties is a web site specifically designed to help Old Scholars administer their association whether or not this is an official body or just a group of people. The web site has separate areas for each association or group which is personalised and maintained by the members themselves.
Users of the site fall into three main categories:
General Visitors, Members and Administrators.
General Visitors:
These can list the people who attended their school by year and view photographs.
Members:
May view contact information for old scholars provided that the member allows this. Members also maintain their own details so keeping these instantly up to date.
Members can also upload their own photo's.
Members can also pay their annual or life subscriptions and can book and pay for reunions.
Administrators:
Have the ability to set subscription levels, can email members asking for payment and can chase up late payers. If members do not have internet access then Administrators can download mail merge files to create their own mailings.
Administrators may also update Member details if they are notified of this by post or word of mouth.
Administrators may publish details of reunions and accept bookings and payment on-line.
Any money collected via Skoolties is paid directly into the association's bank account.
